Counselling is conducted in a three-step process, with online registration, choice filling, and seat allotment based on merit, category, and availability. About KEC Chennai
Kings Engineering College (KEC) is accredited by NBA and NAAC. It is also affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college looks at offering high-quality technical education in the engineering stream through the adoption of a balanced approach towards academic, extracurricular and professional programs so that the students learn problem-solving skills and also develop good interpersonal relationships. The college also ensures that it prioritises quality teaching and has a range of methods and approaches for the same. Kings Engineering College also looks at educating those who are not so privileged and focuses on skill-based learning.
The institute is known for having a spacious library with a vast collection of books, journals, e-journals and magazines. It has a well-equipped laboratory, a research lab, an auditorium, a drawing hall, a digital library, departmental library, e-yantra robotic lab, seminar hall, prayer hall, playground etc. The college also has a well-equipped canteen which serves hygienic food to the students and staff. The classrooms are all equipped with LCD projectors. There is an audio-visual lab as well with a TV, video player, all teaching aids, video camera, LCD projector, DVD, multimedia computer, audio systems etc.
KEC also offers separate hostel facilities for girls and boys. The hostel can accommodate 500 boys and 200 girls. Transport facility is also available at the college for the students. The college also has a placement cell which offers guidance and support to the students in getting suitable employment opportunities.
